This is our welcome to the Playa social event open to the community. We serve drinks and cook up a bit of our meat to give people a taste of our big BBQ event Wednesday. We talk to new Burners about the meaning of gifting vs bartering, radical self-reliance while encouraging them to experience the Playa by “following your distractions”. It’s a nice way to start the week with something unexpected for both the first time and long-time Burners.
